Change of plan

I'm still here (obviously.)

There were some changes in the plan. Just last night, my sissy-in-law informed my brother that her grandma just passed away. So we're like hanging as to who will go with my mom to Nueva.
1. My sissy-in-law will stay here in LC with her family and be on her grandma's wake
2. She'll go with us to Nueva and be back on Monday for the burian
3. I will be the only one who will join my mom
4. Other plans

The only thing I am sure right now is that we'll still be going to Nueva Ecija (all, as in nobody will be left behind.) We're not able to go on the planned schedule (Friday, 6pm) but we'll go by 3am tomorrow(Saturday), and then we'll come back on Monday evening. Maybe I can go back to my work by Tuesday and cancel my 1day (Tuesday) vacation leave.

Until now, I'm trying to configure the gprs or internet connection on my phone. Smart doesn't seem to support my unit (SE S500i.) I asked Ate "O" to load Php30 regular load to my Talk n' Text but I still cannot find a way to connect on the internet.

I tried the SET then sent it to 211. No luck.

Anyway, I'll just use my Globe line, the problem is that I'll be paying big on my bill for this month because of this. I just hope there'll be a cafe or internet shop near our barrio.

* We are also planning, if time permits, to see some of the people who have the same surname as ours. We'll see if they're our relatives.

Nueva Ecija, here I come! (I mean we)

It's been a year when I got hired and as a probi (probationary employee) then, I am not yet allowed to have my vacation leave unless they'll deduct the number of day of absences on my salary. Also, I just can't leave my work just like that (not until now.)

Whenever I think of Nueva Ecija, hot summer days and tiangge registers into my mind. Really hot summer days and nights. My Aguelo and Aguela's old house doesn't have a ceiling. So in the middle of the day, you're like inside an oven being roasted. And I know I'll be back with a burned skin even if I don't go out.

Despite of the hot thingy that I'm going to experience, I will still go there and enjoy my summer vacation. Anyway, that's the only place where I spend my vacation since when I was young and the time to be with my grandparents and relatives on my mother's side.

I miss the people there. By the way, we are from Rizal, Nueva Ecija. I'll be hearing the cute "intonation" they have there. It's contagious. Spend a day with them and you'll easily acquire their way of speaking. Also, some of the natives there speak in Ilocano.

My brother and I usually try to speak Ilocano but we usually end up laughing since we jumble words and phrases. I only know "Anya tinagan mo?" (What's your name?), "Mangan ta" (Let's eat), and some swearing hahaha.

I remember in 2002, when cellphone signal is not yet visible in the barrio, my brother and I used to walk going to the middle of the rice field just to be able to send messages to our friends in the city. I remember raising my hand as if I'm raising a sword. Fortunately messages were sent and lightning didn't strike us. Now, they do have all the cell signals that we need aside from the internet. Sad thing, internet connection hasn't reached the place so I think I cannot post and browse the net for four days. I'm praying somebody will lend us their wireless connection for Globe or Smart or maybe I'll sacrifice paying more on my bill just to get online even if I spend 15 minutes for one super slow page load.

Good luck to me and my family and I do hope we'll get back safe with lots (of sack) of onions and rice as pasalubong... I think I'll be needing a lot of money for my "pasalubong."
